Dr Gerald Judowski graduated from Melbourne University School of Dentistry with a Bachelor of Dental Science in 1978. He then practiced in General Practice for 4 years, before commencing his Periodontal training. Dr Judowski completed his Master of Dental Science in 1984. and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in January, 1984.
Dr Judowski was involved in Periodontal Research at the University of Melbourne until he attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry for 12 months as a Visiting Research Fellow and clinical teacher.
Upon his return in 1986, Dr Judowski then commenced clinical practice at 20 Collins Street Melbourne, where he joined Drs Andrew Cattermole, Ross Bastiaan and Chee Steidler. In 1989, Dr Judowski also started working at 77 Stud Road, Dandenong, where he stayed until December 2009. Since July 2011, Dr Judowski has limited his private practice exclusively to his current Camberwell practice.
During that time, Dr Judowski was President of the Australian Society of Periodontology (Victorian Branch), and was on the Graduate Education Committee of the Australian Dental Association (Victorian Branch). Dr Judowski has been actively involved in clinical teaching at the University of Melbourne School of Dentistry since 1985, and is currently an Assistant Clinical Consultant. Dr Judowski is currently a member of the ADA, Australian Society of Periodontology, and is an International Member of the American Academy of Periodontology. He is registered in Australia as a specialist Periodontist.
Dr Judowski practices all aspects of Periodontics, including Implant placement. His aim is to try and help his patients keep their natural teeth for as long as possible, and where possible, will minimise the need for extensive surgical treatment.
